Bethany

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him
and He will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6

Bethany, I can see why that's a favorite verse!
And how fitting :>)

Before I go on, I MUST say,
the morning of this photoshoot had the
most.amazing.light.EVER.

Luminescent light of sunrise
and
morning mist.

The makings of a fairy castle tale...

...also fitting for the daughter of a King :>)
And that is who she is.

Open up the Storybook...

The King's daughter has clothed herself with
the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit
- which is precious in his Majesty's sight.

She knows she is dearly loved by her Father...

She trusts Him as He leads her,
and He gives her times of rest beside quiet waters in life.

Amazing love, how can it be?

Swirling musical strains proclaiming her Father's love
flow gratefully from her heart.

The sun comes up
It's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass
And whatever lies before me
Let me be singing
When the evening comes...

You're rich in love
And You're slow to anger
Your name is great
And Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness
I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons
For my heart to find

She was given a mission of mercy by the King and sent to a faraway land.
And although she and her Kingly Father may be worlds apart,
they are close in Spirit.

God's not dead; He's surely alive.
He's living on the inside roaring like a lion...

Emotions and songs are bosom friends.Withdraw from the garden for a moment to observe Bethany's other playful emotions.

The King's Psalms are songs... and those lyrics recorded in the King's Book are said to be a map of the human soul. His people will find all of their emotions penned there, from the highest to the low.

Someday she shall see her King face to face...

Surrounded by your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for your Jesus
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine!

 Escorting you back...

Now, although she is a dearly loved King's child,
do not think that Bethany's paths given for her to travel and explore have led to life's ease.

Dragons have waylaid her paths,
and the battles have been fierce and wearying.

Yet, strongly the King's spirit in her roars like that lion:
"Shall I accept good from God, and not trouble?”

Both pleasant paths and the thorny thickets have plunged her into the songs of her King...

In them she discovers and embraces those hidden depths and heights written there...

These ancient Words and new songs are growing her into the beautiful Daughter...

and strong Warrior that she is.

She is so loved... and

Brave.

THE END

♦♦♦♦

This concludes the last post of my clicksandkeys journal!
Given the castle, the mist, the sunrise...
it made a good storybook ending.

Who knew there IS more than corn in Indiana?
Yes, this took place in Indiana...
as only Mr. Hamstra can transform the Midwest farmland.
We are so grateful for his kindness to photoshoot at his home.

Thank you, all, for your help, patience, advice, and encouragement along my way!
Couldn't have made it without you
(and a few brownie-bribes).

Thank you, Roger, for your gifts to me
- both your love and my camera, in this case -
and also for accepting my quirkiness :>)
Hugs!

Should the King have another path for me to journal,
I shall add a link here to find me.

It is my joy to honor You, Lord.

Augustine

I bet you have been already introduced to Augustine.

If he hasn't yet helped you with your computer, website, or video needs...

... you can be sure he has been behind the scenes
making certain all things technological are running smoothly
for your benefit.

At his photo shoot, I could talk about my camera settings...
and (I think) he was even a bit interested!

He also was patient enough to let me photo-experiment :>)

I never worked with studio lighting before,
but Augustine just happened to have a stash and brought some equipment over,
letting me venture into a short trial with it.
(Hence, the black and white photos - a study in studio lighting, shadow and contrast.)

These are headshot material.
Augustine is an entrepreneur, his businesses growing by leaps already.
Have you seen the video work Brummel Productions created for James and Kristen's wedding?
Oh, I can't watch it without tissues on hand, just saying.

Photography side note:
Harsh and rugged natural light works great on guys
(but usually not-so-much on gals)...

Talented and resourceful as he is, Augustine gladly acknowledges that it is God who gives the ability.

Philippians 4:13 is a favorite verse:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

What is it like walking in truth?

Read the lyrics to Augustine's
favorite song - Christ Is Risen by Matt Maher...

Let no one caught in sin remain
Inside the lie of inward shame
We fix our eyes upon the cross
And run to Him who showed great love

And bled for us ~
Freely You bled, for us...

Beneath the weight of all our sin
You bow to none -  but heavens will.
No scheme of hell,
No scoffer's crown,
No burden great can hold  You down.
In strength You reign
Forever let Your church proclaim ...

Christ is risen from the dead
Trampling over death by death
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave

Christ is risen from the dead
We are one with him again
Come awake, come awake!
Come and rise up from the grave...

Oh death! Where is your sting?
Oh hell! Where is your victory?
Oh Church! Come stand in the light!
The glory of God has defeated the night!

Oh death! Where is your sting?
Oh hell! Where is your victory?
Oh Church! Come stand in the light!
Our God is not dead, He's alive! He's alive!

It was a pleasure working with you, Augustine. Thanks for all the photo and computer graphic "shop talk"!
Someday, I'll be saying,  "I knew him when...."

Remember
Always for His glory.
